1. Who We Are
FTW Research is an independent polling and research firm operated by Wally Nowinski. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our research activities and SMS survey programs.
2. Information We Collect
Survey responses: When you participate in one of our surveys, we collect your answers to our questions. Responses are anonymous — they are not linked to your name or phone number in any published results.
Contact information: For SMS-based surveys, phone numbers are obtained from publicly available voter registration files, accessed through approved applications to county elections offices pursuant to California Elections Code Section 2194, for election and political research purposes. We may also collect email addresses when voluntarily provided.
Website visitors: We do not use tracking cookies, analytics software, or third-party advertising on this website.
3. How We Use Your Information
Survey responses are used solely for public opinion research and analysis. Results are reported only in aggregate — no individual responses are ever identified by name, phone number, or address.
Phone numbers obtained from voter files are used only to deliver survey invitations and optional follow-up reminders. They are not used for any other purpose.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information with any third parties. We do not share your data for marketing purposes. Aggregate, anonymous survey results may be shared publicly or with commissioning clients, but no individual responses are ever identified.
5. Data Retention
Survey response data is retained for the duration of the research project and a reasonable period thereafter for verification purposes, then deleted. Phone numbers used for message delivery are not retained after the survey period concludes.
6. SMS Messaging
If you receive an SMS survey invitation from FTW Research, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP. You will receive no further messages after opting out. Standard message and data rates may apply. We send a maximum of two messages per survey: one invitation and one optional reminder.
7. Your Rights
You may request information about what data we hold about you, request deletion of your data, or opt out of future communications by contacting us at the address below.
